The Astrobee-D Sounding Rocket

Carrying meteorological sensing payloads, the Navy's Astrobee-D was
a single-stage double-thrust rocket developed by Aerojet General
Corporation of El Monte, CA. Two Astrobee-D rockets were fired for
the first time at WSMR on June 8, 1970 carrying 40-pound payloads to
altitudes of more than 60 miles.
